Eyes still getting misty as I reflect on Equal Thread's inaugural event and cohosting with my Good Judy, Daniel Hayon from WITHIN.
This second round of Drag Me to Drinks centered on fundraising for The Trevor Project with the theme, “Pride Never Ends.”
Moderating the panel of queer, powerhouse leaders struck a personal chord. My favorite takeaways:~ Practice what you preach, and create an environment that reflects it too.~ Being your most authentic self inspires others to do the same.~ How much of your identity you want to bring to any space is up to you. You control the pace.~ We're more than a single label. Our identities come from the intersections of our experiences.
The conversations reaffirmed why I'm building Equal Thread and the values we uphold: community first, authenticity, lasting connection, and intersectionality. 🌈💫
